Ingredients

800 g beef shoulder, diced
3 onions
2 cloves garlic
50 ml olive oil
150 g bacon
15 g cornflour
150 ml beef stock
700 ml dark beer
30 g gingerbread
10 pink peppercorn
Mixed herbs

Peel the onion and garlic.

Add to the bowl with the Ultrablade knife installed. Lock the lid and press 'Start'.

Replace the Ultrablade knife with the Mixer. Add the oil and bacon. Lock the lid and press 'Start'. Meanwhile, make a slurry by dissolving the cornflour in the stock.

Add the stock, beer, meat, gingerbread, pink peppercorns and mixed herbs to the bowl. Lock the lid and press 'Start'.

Serve hot with steamed potatoes or tagliatelle.
